CONE PENETRATION TESTING
An electric cone penetrometer is a geotechnical instrument that measures soil properties by pushing a conical probe into the ground and electronically recording data like tip resistance and sleeve friction.
This provides a continuous soil profile, allowing for in-situ soil characterization and engineering design parameters without the need for soil sampling.

Continuous Hydraulic Push at 20 mm/s.
Adding a rod every 1 m.

Electric Cone Penetrometer
Connected a computer via a cable.

Readings taken every 10 to 50 mm

Cone Penetration Test (CPT)
- Sleeve Friction
- Porewater Pressure
- Measured Tip Stress or Cone Resistance
- Corrected Tip Stress
